Richmond High School Alumni Association Executive Director

The Executive Director of the RHSAA is a thirty hour per week position (salaried but no benefits other than a combination of sick and vacation days). The executive director reports to the RHSAA Board of Directors and works closely with the president.

Responsibilities and requirements of the executive director include:

  • Possesses the characteristics of a strong work ethic, ability to work independently, self-motivation, and proven organizational and necessary technology skills, including Publisher, Quick Book (financial data program), and Excel.
  • Promote the RHSAA by seeking renewal and new memberships and fostering personal relationships with alumni to encourage planned giving.
  • Identify and apply for grants for which the association might be eligible.
  • Plan fund raising activities and engage the board.
  • Keep accurate financial and membership data base records and provide monthly financial reports to the president and treasurer of the association.
  • Write and publish the Alumni Newsletter.
  • Provide support for class reunions (updating alumni data bases and tours.)
  • Serve as the liaison with various community agencies including, but not limited to, the Wayne County Foundation, IW Tech, Indiana University East, Purdue School of Technology, Earlham College, The Wayne  County Chamber of Commerce, and the Richmond Community Schools.
  • Work in the alumni office at designated times to be determined {Remaining work hours can be completed at home).
  • Coordinate scholarship applications and award distributions to applicable entities, working with the RHSAA Scholarship Committee and the RHS guidance director.
  • Plan board member agendas with the president.
